central limit theorem

The central limit theorem states that as the sample size gets larger, the distribution of the sample mean becomes increasingly approximately normal no matter what distribution the data are sampled from. I'm lucky to have found these communities during my time at UW and have spent large amounts of time with them since. These organizations are what have kept me grounded and approximately normal during college, especially during the stressful moments.

vietnamese student association (vsa)

VSA was the first RSO I joined when I came to UW – it only felt natural as a Vietnamese student. Through my three years in VSA and on the VSA dance team, I have met some of my closest friends. Going to Vietnamese dance practice every week has really helped me to reconnect with my Vietnamese identity and truly feel proud to be Vietnamese, which is something I always struggled with growing up. I get emotional thinking about how I might be nearing my last few performances with this group, but that only makes me cherish the moments more. Looking back on our VSA photos from freshman year to now always reminds my friends and me about how much we have all grown.
